Why should I come for a consultation?

At Lovinkit we believe every tattoo should be tailored to suit the wearer's personality and body structure. When we meet in person, we get a better understanding of what you want for your tattoo. That is why we highly recommend that clients come by for a free consultation before the actual tattoo session, so we can discuss and combine your ideas and expectations with our professional vision. If we realise that some of your ideas might make a good graphic design but not a tattoo design, we will discuss it with you and suggest professional solutions. At the end of a consultation we will be able to give you a quotation of your tattoo. You can pay a HKD$500 or HKD$1000 non-refundable deposit if you wish to proceed to set up a tattoo appointment with your artist. We accept cash, octopus and credit card payment.

Who will you talk to at your consultation?

We make sure our tattoo artists talk to you themselves. If you have a preference of who to go with for your tattoo, please ask for the same artist for your consultation.

Do I need to prepare for the consultation?

Yes, you do. If you have any visual references that better explain your ideas, please bring them along. If you don't, then please simply explain your ideas. We have clients who gave us a poem, a song or even just a story for inspiration.

If you hope to schedule a tattoo appointment with us by the end of a consultation please prepare HKD$500-1000, which counts towards the final price.

Is it ok if I am not sure how exactly I want my tattoo?

Yes, it is. It is our job to visualize a tattoo design that suits you the best during a consultation. If you have a basic idea of a tattoo you would like to get already then we are happy to discuss it with you. We treasure both our time and your time when you are here for your consultation and would love to give you our professional opinions. Nevertheless coming in with a vague idea and open mind for our professional advice is great－asking for prices of random projects that you aren't committed to is not.

Which artist should I go with?

All of our artists at Lovinkit has their own unique style. We suggest you to click into our gallery page to find out whose work suit you the most. However if you are getting a rather small or simple tattoo, it could be your first tattoo, a little travel-souvenir-tattoo, or simply your personal preference, chances are all our artists are more than capable. In this case you may consider going with the soonest available artist.
